We believe in helping our retirees achieve and maintain optimal health. You are invited to participate in Dow’s global health promotion activities and programs. This includes helpful tools, resources and programs that demonstrate Dow’s commitment to the health and wellbeing of our entire Dow family. Volunteer opportunities
The challenges faced today are growing and becoming more complex than ever before. And you can do something about it. Whether through the dedication of time, talent or expertise, we believe that volunteering promotes a positive experience for both employees and retirees, further supports our global citizenship priorities and investments, and, ultimately, advances our ambition and purpose as a company. Aetna One® Advocate
The High Deductible Medical Plan includes access to Aetna One® Advocate. It’s a high-touch, high-tech premium health care experience that combines data with the expertise of highly-trained advocates.
Dow Family Health Centers
The Dow Family Health Centers provide high-quality, low-cost care for Dow retirees and their family members enrolled in a Dow medical plan (excluding individuals who are eligible for Medicare as primary coverage).
Support for emotional wellbeing
Focusing on your mental health can help you live a happier and healthier life. Dow medical plans include coverage for mental health support, including access to both inpatient and outpatient care (see the cost and coverage summaries for details). Be sure to use your coverage when needed and consider taking advantage of national resources.
Life insurance extras (if applicable)
You may have access to additional benefits and services if you have Dow life insurance:
- Funeral planning and discounts (available through company-paid life insurance) – Access to counselors and discounts on funeral services through Dignity Memorial. Visit the financial planning and discounts website or call (866) 853-0954.
- Grief counseling (available through company and retiree-paid optional life insurance and managed by TELUS Health) – receive help dealing with any type of loss (up to five counseling sessions per event at no cost to you). Call (888) 319-7819 or visit the grief counseling website (username: metlifeassist | password: support).
- Will preparation and estate resolution services (available through employee-paid optional life insurance) – offers assistance preparing or updating a standard will for little or no cost through MetLife Legal Plans.
