Transitioning to Via Benefits

For many retirees, health care coverage is one of their most important benefits and an important part of retirement security. Supporting retirees continues to be a priority for Dow. That’s why, after careful evaluation, Dow has decided to offer Medicare-eligible retirees and eligible dependents access to coverage through Via Benefits Insurance Services (Via Benefits) effective January 1, 2027.

Dow’s commitment to supporting retiree wellbeing remains strong

This update is designed to provide:

  • Greater choice
  • Personalized guidance
  • Flexibility to select coverage that best fits your needs and budget
  • Year-round support

This new offering reflects Dow's continued commitment to supporting retiree wellbeing.

What you need to know

  • Beginning January 1, 2027, Dow will offer Medicare-eligible retirees access to Medicare coverage through Via Benefits Insurance Services (Via Benefits).
  • You'll have access to a broad range of Medicare health and prescription drug plans from multiple insurance carriers, giving you more flexibility to choose coverage that fits your personal health care and financial needs.
  • Licensed benefit advisors will be available at no cost to you to provide personalized guidance, helping you compare options based on your doctors, medications, health care needs, and budget.
  • Most retirees are expected to find coverage similar to what they have today, with the potential for lower overall health care costs.
  • To take advantage of this opportunity, Medicare-eligible retirees will need to enroll through Via Benefits.

Via Benefits' licensed benefit advisors provide personalized support to help you understand your options and choose coverage with confidence:

  • Advisors can help you evaluate coverage options based on the doctors you use, prescription drugs you take and the health care services that matter most to you.
  • They can explain your options, answer your questions and provide personalized, one-on-one guidance to help you choose coverage that aligns with your individual health care and financial needs.
  • Advisors understand the complexities of retiree health coverage, including situations where family members may have a mix of pre-Medicare and Medicare coverage.
  • Support is available before, during and after enrollment, so you have a knowledgeable resource for enrollment and throughout the year.
  • Advisors are objective advocates with no incentive to steer you toward a particular plan or insurance carrier.
  • Their guidance and support are provided at no additional cost to you.
